Have you met Hariette? No, not the cow... the adorable outfit from DCNYs Fall Collection. An off the shoulder top with flounce sleeve, delicately scalloped bottom, and a hint of skin peeking through the delicate lace is paired with cuffed overalls. The Hariette denim overalls are capri length with generous bell bottoms and detailed buckled roll cuffs, they have great details like a cherry decoration on the front panel and a tiny DCNY logo embroidered on the back straps. DCNY Girl Contest Continues!

Don't worry! This is one photo contest that has not vanished into thin air. The DCNY Girl Contest continues every month until December 2009, we have already awarded winners for May, June and July, and their posters are on display in the main store on Xalapa!

Our very patient and lovely August winner, Miss Skylei Caproni, will be photographed for her poster very soon and she is looking forward to modeling some fabulous Fall Fashions that will be released mid-September! In a previous post, I have already mentioned that there is a new main store for DCNY Clothing Co. When you visit the new location on Xalapa, you will find an amazing New York City build. And new in the store and just released - you will find the brand new DCNY SWIM 2009 Collection. In this blog, I will feature the new sexy bikini with a waist sasy that is available in 5 colors.

DCNY Girl - Photo Contest - General Information............
DCNY Clothing Co. will be looking for unique fresh faces to be featured in store posters. The DCNY Girl of the month will be selected from the dedicated DCNY Flickr Pool (http://www.flickr.com/groups/dcny/), the only catch is that you have to submit your photos there to be selected, and be wearing your DCNY Clothing in all entered Photos. Entrants will be limited to 10 photos in the pool, but are welcome to remove and replace photos as they wish. Be creative! get our attention!Each month DCNY Clothing Co. CEO, Dave Casanova, and DCNY Supermodel & Photographer, Anessa Stine will select a single winner. The winner will be asked to model a newly released DCNY outfit in a poster that will appear in DCNY Locations for the following month, they will also recieve the full color fatpack of the outfit they are asked to wear, and appear in a blog entry.

There was a opening party that was so huge that it crashed the sim and there were prizes out and a hunt.......I do so hope that you did not miss all of the goodies. New in DCNY Clothing Co. you will find the "FAY" Dress. The dress is very slim fitting and has a unique texture to the material. There is a prim attachment for the turtle neck collar, a sculpted skirt, glitch pants and fitted top and there is an extra prim attachment for an added extra to the top that gives the dress a looser fit and creates a filmy effect to the top. Did you miss the opening celebration for reopening of the rebuilt sim for DCNY Clothing Co? I was there...........the event was so "huge" that it crashed the sim. All I can say is that I simply love the clothes from DCNY Clothing Co. I was very excited when I heard from the owner Dave Casanova that there were some new outfits available from DCNY. Oh and speaking of Dave........it was his rez day on June 6 and he has been in SL for five years. OMG, can you believe that I actually know someone that has participated in SL for that length of time..........but yes, I do and he is the owner of DCNY Clothing Co. He had a party which I was unable to attend due to RL, but I am sure that he understands. Anyway, wish Dave a Happy Rez Day and stop by DCNY Clothing Co. for the new releases.

The Beryl Halter Neck Dress simply screams summer. I saw this dress and simply had to grab and model the golden colored dress. The top is well made with a very interesting texture. There is a flexi skirt and a very nice prim belt to compliment and complete the outfit. You have your choice of 6 different colors......red, gray, blue, purple, golden and green.

Hello, the entries are coming in for the DCNY Girl Contest and there are some cute ones out there. I am going to feature different photos from time to time and this has no bearing on the contest, but I found some of the photos to be interesting and wanted to share them. Anyone can view all the photos on the DCNY Clothing Co. flickr account. I want to mention to every one to pay careful attention to how you label the photos that you are submitting........the rules state that you must say........DCNY Girl Contest.......in the title of the photograph. I have noticed that some have not followed that rule and I would hate for you to be disqualified for so simple an adjustment to the information on your photo. You Just Never Know.........

Have you ever gone to a store and you see the ad for a dress or an outfit? You are not sure as to whether you like the outfit or not as in our virtual world it is rather hard to visualize how some of the fashion will look on you. I know it would be difficult to do, but it is really too bad that there are not "demos" offered for outfits as there is for hairs or skins. I wonder if more designers would sell more clothes if a "demo" could be tried. Hmmmmm, well back to the point of this blog. I love all the clothes that are for sale in DCNY Clothing Co. and I possess all of them, but until I was assigned to model the Marlane Outfit in Blue at the Fashion Fair '09, I had not really tried on the dress......bad me. Of course, due to models causing too much lag hanging around any particular shop, those of us that were going to model the DCNY Clothing Co. at the fair were told that we would not be needed, but not before I actually had to put on the Marlane Outfit in Blue. I will have to tell you that I was very amazed when I actually put on this dress.........it was simply just too cute. A BIG "Thank You" to all..........

The spectacular week of the Fashion Fair '09 has come to an end, but Dave Casanova - the owner of DCNY Clothing Co. wants to thank all of you that attended the fair and "shopped" and donated to the cause.........the fair was truly a success and the funds raised are for a good cause. Other blogs have mentioned the amount raised and everyone that participated and "shopped" and contributed .......... a job well done. THANK YOU!

Some very interesting people were met at the fair and one such person was Maggie Mahoney of Runway Magazine. Dave and Maggie shared some experiences in regards to the fair and as a result, Dave Casanova took the "pink" version of the Jaana Jacket fron DCNY Clothing Co and cobranded it as the RUNWAY edition. 100% of the proceeds of the sales of this jacket will go to Breast Cancer Research. Even though the fair is over, this jacket will be on sale at the main store of DCNY Clothing Co for any that wish to purchase this jacket and continue to make efforts to raise funds to fight cancer in any shape or form.

Arygle Socks for the Farah Outfit!

As you all know, I am a nut about the clothes from DCNY Clothing Co. and "sometimes" just "sometimes" I feel that if we had a little different take on the outfit......it would be sensational. I really loved the Farah outfit as I love the arygle pattern and the arygle sweaters in this outfit are just too cute...............so I thought "gee" we need some arygle socks. I am not bashful, so I asked for "arygle" socks and voila........we have "arygle" socks to match the Farah outfit. Now if you already bought the Farah outfit from DCNY, then you can simply return to the main store and you will find the socks in a vendor placed next to the outfit and you can purchase the socks separately in any of the five colors that are available. Now most of you might not realize how hard it is to match the argyle patterns from the front to the back in our visual world so the pattern is a little distorted around the ankles.........however that is only a good reason to shop for some ankle boots to wear with this socks.......I am a happy girl. ARYGLE SOCKS.........

My, my, my.....the dress is open in the front and has the effect of a button up dress with a sculpted skirt and prim attachment for the collor and this attachment fits so nicely. A lot of time the designers do not finish the effects of an outfit when they are adding a prim attachment for a collar, but this dress is designed so well you can wear it with or without the collar.........but another reason for my comment on this prim attachment as when I put it on, it actually looks like it belongs on the dress. Too often collars that are prim attachments has left something to be desired but not in the construction of this cute dress.

RUN......do not walk!!!! DCNY Clothing Co. has started to add to their display of talents by not only producing excellent clothing in SL, but they have developed their very own skin line. Now I am picky about the skins that I like to wear because I model in SL and the skins have to fit the shape that I chose to wear. AND NEED I SAY MORE, but you really need to give these skins a try as I do believe that you will be very surprised when you try this new line of skins. I would love to hear from the skin experts what you think about these new skins, but for me these skins were very nice and there are a lot of make-up variations. AND THE REASON TO RUN AND NOT WALK.........there is a "FREEBIE" Valentine's Day SKIN at DCNY Clothing Co. The skins are on the 2nd floor and the "FREEBIE" is the BIG sign......you cannot miss it. Folks, if you have not stopped by and checked out the fantastic designs for women at the reopened DCNY Clothing Co..............then you just do not know what you are missing. You have to at least treat yourself to a look at the clothes that are being offered in this store. You will become a DCNY fan as fast as I have. I believe that I have almost everything in the store and since the store is newly reopened, I can get in on the ground floor with keeping up with the fantastic designs that are being offered at this store. You must at least drop in for a look and check the store out for yourself.

Today I am going to feature the Corrine Dress by DCNY and it is available in 5 colors - black, red, white, blue and pink. The outfit is a very nicely made dress with a zipper effect in the front. There are two skirt options for those that are fond of a particular type of skirt and there are prim sleeves. The dress features a scooped neckline both in the front and back of the dress allowing you to show off those marvelous skins. This outfit is perfect for those that love the sweater effect for a dress and wish to be chic casual. The shading and the texturing of the dress is superb and you will not be disappointed when you put on this outfit.

I Love This Outfit - DCNY Clothing Co.

I Just Love This Outfit.......

DCNY Clothing Co.....a new store in SL and a place you must check out as the clothes are literally jumping off the walls.

I absolutely love sweaters and jeans and I could barely contain myself when I saw this outfit hanging on the wall at DCNY Clothing Co. I had a hard decision as to which one of the five colors of this outfit that I wanted to purchase..............so I just got all five colors for myself.

This outfit comes with prim attachments for the sleeves of the sweater and a really neat prim attachment for the collar. There is a fantastic belt with the outfit and prim attachments to the short length pants. I just love the pattern on the pants to this outfit. The sweaters are available in blue, yellow, brown, pink and green.
